Club 365: moving a site from Tilda to WordPress

Club 365 is an online yoga school that sells subscriptions to its classes. Its site ran on Tilda, a Russian site builder: a monthly fee, and pages that could only be edited inside the builder. I moved the site to the school's own WordPress. Page URLs stayed the same, the quiz and course checkout still work, and the site never went offline during the move.

The school no longer pays a builder fee and decides for itself what to add next.

What I did: wrote a WordPress theme from scratch, moved the pages, the quiz and the checkout links, set up 301 redirects and switched the domain.

Leave the builder, lose nothing

The school paid Tilda every month, and its pages could only be edited in the builder. The site also loaded a lot of third-party scripts.

The school had one condition: break nothing. Same URLs, same look, a working quiz and checkout, and no downtime.

What had to be solved

  1. Leave the paid builder

Move the site to the school's own WordPress.

  2. Keep every URL

Without redirects, search engines treat moved pages as gone.

  3. Keep checkout working

The buttons lead to the school's course platform, GetCourse.

02 / What I did

A custom WordPress theme for the school

The site looks exactly as it did on Tilda: same colors, fonts and screens. It now runs on the school's own WordPress, with no builder fee.

The hard part was the move itself. I mapped a 301 redirect for every page and switched the domain while the old Tilda site was still live, so visitors and Google always saw a working page.

  1. Theme built from scratch

The design carried over from the old site one to one.

  2. Every page on its original URL

Plus 301 redirects, so search engines find each page through its old link.

  3. The quiz

Rewritten, with spam and bot protection.

  4. Checkout buttons

All lead to the course platform, as before.

  5. Blog

    Launched together with the move.

Plans and checkout moved as they were

Plan cards, bonus seminars and direct checkout links work just as they did on Tilda. On a phone you get the same screens as on a laptop.

04 / What changed

What changed for the school

  1. No more builder fee

The site runs on the school's own WordPress.

  2. Same URLs

Every page opens at its old link, and the 301 redirects are in place.

  3. Checkout works

All buttons lead to course payment, as before the move.

  4. The school owns the site

The code and pages live on its WordPress and can be extended.

I didn't measure speed or rankings before and after, so there are no percentages here.

This was my Tilda to WordPress migration service, quoted per site.
